Welding FM Approved Hot Work Fabric Selection

FM Approved fabrics must meet certain performance ratings in order to be labeled as a Welding Curtain, a Welding Blanket or a Welding Pad. It is these rated fabrics that will comply with NFPA 51B (2009) and are recognized by the Standards Council of Canada.

Weight, thickness and coatings all have an impact on performance when choosing FM Approved fabrics for hot work. We have developed a few questions that will help you match your criteria to the kind of fabric required for your hot work application.
