TecStar Tape

Silica Tape

Tempro Tec offers two high-temperature silica gasketing tapes. Our standard tape performs up to 2000° F. The Irish tape extends the stability and flexibility characteristics up to 2300° F. High excursion temperatures over 2000° F may cause embrittlement, but the tape continues to insulate.

Fiber Glass Tadpole Tapes

Fiberglass Tadpole Manufactured from type E fiberglass yarns. The outer layer is a woven fiberglass tape with the bulb made from high-density fiberglass rope - all are sewn together with a fiberglass thread.
  Temperature Resistance 800° F maximum (short excursion to 1000° F)
  Roll Length 100 ft.
Tacky Tadpole Manufactured from a friction coating of SBR rubber and/or natural rubber. Bulb insert material is made from fiberglass rope.

Ceramic Tadpole Tape & Burner Gasket

HT Fibersil Tadpole Tape
  • Outer layer is Fibersil cloth #36-400U, a high performance
    industrial grade ceramic fiber fabric for use in high temperature applications up to 2300° F
  • Bulb insert material is made from high density fiberglass rope rated at 1000° F
  • All are sewn together with 304 stainless steel thread

HT Fibersil Burner Gasket
  • Outer layer is Fibersil Cloth #36-400U, a high performance
    industrial grade ceramic fiber fabric for use in high temperature applications up to 2300° F
  • Insert material is made from Lytherm #1535K ceramic paper for use in high temperature applications up to 2300° F
  • All are sewn together with 304 stainless steel thread

Woven Ceramic Tape

Tempro Tec's woven ceramic tape has either Inconel wire or glass filament that is incorporated into the yarn to increase the tensile strength of the fabric both before and after exposure to heat. Product contains some organic fibers that will burn off at low temperature, but increase handling strength in its as-received state.
